The Brief

As a studio, we created this self-initiated CGI film inspired by the TAG Heuer Calibre 16 Automatic to demonstrate our approach to high-end watch animation. The goal was to capture the watch’s precision engineering and performance feel while pushing our capabilities in simulation, technical motion, and photoreal rendering.

The Animation

As part of our experimental watch series, the film unfolds as a technical reveal, with the strap building on with a stylised simulation. Moving from abstract design to the finished watch. Engineering lines and detailing are overlaid to demonstrate the technical excellence of the watch, and reinforcing the sense of precision.

We also include macro shots focused on the chronograph’s fine details, with transitions that show timing mechanics in a clear, cinematic way. Lighting and reflections were carefully crafted to emphasize material quality and surface accuracy at close range.

The project also served as an opportunity to further develop and refine our CGI watch workflow – from asset preparation and material calibration to simulation pipelines and macro rendering techniques.

The result is a piece that balances technical visualisation with product storytelling, showcasing our studio’s ability to translate complex engineering into compelling CGI.
