This website is operated by Frantic Creative Ltd (“Frantic”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 10908959, with its registered office at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU.
We are a CGI animation, motion design and video production studio based in London and Oxford. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when you visit wearefrantic.com (the “Site”) or otherwise interact with us.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the “data controller” of the personal information we hold about you.

When you complete a contact form, request a quote, subscribe to our newsletter, brief us on a project or otherwise correspond with us, you may provide your name, company, job title, email address, telephone number and any details you choose to include in your message.
Information we collect automatically. When you visit the Site, we may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device information, operating system, the pages you view, and how you navigate the Site.
Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from analytics and advertising providers, or from professional sources such as LinkedIn where you have made information publicly available in a business context.
We do not knowingly collect special category data (such as information about health, ethnicity or political views) through the Site, and we ask that you do not send us such information unless it is necessary for a specific project we have agreed.
Under UK data protection law, we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal information. We rely on the following:
Performance of a contract, or steps prior to entering a contract. To respond to your enquiry, prepare proposals and quotes, deliver projects, and manage our working relationship with you and your organisation.

To run and improve our business, including responding to general enquiries, understanding how the Site is used, keeping our records accurate, marketing our services to business contacts, and protecting the security of the Site. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered the impact on your rights and do not use your information in ways you would not reasonably expect.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will send you updates about our work, services and industry thinking. We use Mailchimp to manage and send these communications.
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or by emailing us at info@wearefrantic.com. We may still send you service-related communications about active projects, as these are not marketing.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
Service providers and processors who support our business, including our website host, email and newsletter platform (Mailchimp), analytics providers, advertising platforms, cloud storage and IT providers, and our professional advisers (such as accountants and legal advisers). These providers act on our instructions and are bound by appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.
Project collaborators where necessary to deliver a project you have engaged us on, such as freelancers, production partners or agencies, and only to the extent required.
Authorities and third parties where we are required to do so by law, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
Some of our service providers may store or process information outside the UK. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we take steps to ensure it is protected by an appropriate safeguard, such as an adequacy decision or the International Data Transfer Agreement (or UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy. In practice:
Enquiry and prospect information is kept for up to 3 years from our last meaningful contact. Information relating to client projects is kept for the duration of the engagement and for up to 6 years afterwards, in line with our contractual, tax and professional obligations. Newsletter subscriber information is kept until you unsubscribe.
When we no longer need your information, we will delete or anonymise it securely.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we take care to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
