Objective

To create a fake out of home (FOOH) CGI animation to relaunch Hollywood Bowl’s Norwich location after a significant refurbishment, including the introduction of digital darts.

The Animation

Working once again with the brilliant team at Stripe PR, we had the pleasure of bringing to life a truly eye-catching FOOH (fake out-of-home) activation that’s as bold as it is playful.

This time, Norwich set the stage, with its familiar streets and landmarks transformed into a larger-than-life playground for the unmistakable Hollywood Bowl pink ball. We followed it as it bounced and rolled its way through the city, gliding past the colourful market stalls, weaving between bustling cafés, and cruising down the cobbled lanes that locals know so well.

Just when you think the journey’s over, the ball comes to a dramatic halt right outside the Hollywood Bowl itself. Then, boom, a massive dart drops from the sky, striking the pavement with a thud as an electronic dartboard lights up in a blaze of colour and sound. For a moment, it feels like Norwich has become part of the Hollywood Bowl universe.

The finished video launched on Hollywood Bowl’s Instagram during the week of their highly anticipated relaunch. A perfect blend of creativity, spectacle, and pure fun that had audiences double-taking and sharing in droves.

Modelling, 3D animation and scene tracking was completed in Cinema 4D, with rendering handled in Redshift.
