Molton Brown Christmas

The latest in a range of work we have produced for Molton Brown, with an indulgently glamourous scene created out of paper. The products sit in the animated paper world, with beautifully illustrated gifts, Christmas trees, and even musical instruments.

For the first ad, we used the original illustrated elements that were created for the product photoshoot and incorporated them into our 3D animated world. The gifts move into place, and the juniper plants grow into each scene.

The second ad, for the advent calendar, features a theatre stage, with a range of illustrated jiggling musical instruments completing the scene.

The final ad showcases the three signature body washes for this season, Juniper Jazz, Muddled Plum and Vintage Elderflower. Each body wash has it’s own illustrated elements growing and moving within the scenes.

A stop motion CG animation style was achieved by creating a photoreal paper look, and rendering at 10fps (frames per second) to mimic the look of real stop motion animation.

Each ad was delivered in multiple formats and durations for use across all social channels and the Molton Brown website.

The animations were created in Cinema 4D, and rendering was handled through Redshift.
