Objective

To develop and produce a Fake Out Of Home (FOOH) spot for leading skincare brand, Gatineau.

The Animation

With Gatineau’s roots firmly grounded in Paris, we explored a range of creative concepts built around some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks. Ultimately, the Arc de Triomphe emerged as the ideal choice, instantly iconic yet still grounded at a human scale, allowing the product to feel monumental without becoming abstract. Using photo references, we modelled the product and sourced footage to ensure the concept felt seamless and believable.

The animation opens with the product arriving along the Champs-Élysées, rolling on its side and gathering momentum. It then turns, rolling onto a purpose-built marble run style scaffold ramp. As the product rises, a massive banner unfurls down the front of the Arc, dramatically revealing the product.

Finally the product itself arrives on top of the Arc, falling into place in the centre with a dramatic thump.

Modelling and 3D animation was completed in Cinema 4D, with final rendering handled in Redshift.
